Architectural heritage of Arona

The Architectural Heritage of Arona was declared an Asset of Cultural Interest by the Canarian Heritage Board on the 8th of March 2007. This status was bestowed as a result of the number of buildings conserved in the municipality, their unique characteristics, their evolution since the 18th century and the conservation of the original urban layout. Within the historic quarter of Arona, particular attention should be drawn to the streets, the plaza and the church and other elements that complement the simplicity of the rural housing.
