The festivity of the Virgin del Carmen is also celebrated in Arona with a maritime procession, where the image is taken from the church to the wharf where the embarkation awaits to sail along the harbour. Dozens of embarkations of all kinds accompany the Virgin on her rout, sounding their sirens. Residents and visitors standing on the beach follow the show.
